Some photographs and YouTube video of milling a two sided cut of the upper section of my Brian May Red Special replica guitar from custom blockboard.

- Stepcraft 2/840 CNC machine
- Spindle: Industrial quality small HF spindle from StoneyCNC (http://stoneycnc.com/en/stepcraft-/appl ... illing/490)
- Material: 3/4" custom blockboard comprising 3.5 mm hardwood plywood facing and 12 mm thick softwood core strips
- 4 mm diameter four flute solid carbide flat nosed end mill, 25 mm flute length
- Feed rate: 2,000 mm/min.
- Plunge rate: 120 mm/min.
- Rotation speed: 20,000 rpm.
- Depth per pass removed: 2.00 mm on all passes, roughing and finishing (parallel, waterline & pencil cleanup).
